He joined many political parties like the People’s United Party, Christian Democratic Party and United Democratic Party. He is the only politician to win the Belize House with two parties.
Aranda graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with an M.A. and a PhD in education. He was one of the five UDP legislators elected to serve the Dangriga constituency in 1979.
