NDC Presidential Candidate, John Mahama, has finally responded to critics who are on his neck that he should reveal his running mate for December 2020 polls.
Well, Mahama his second live Digital Conversation today revealed that he can’t name his running mate while Ghana battles COVID-19.
He also remarked that he knows who his running mate is, but won’t announce him/her now. He, however, said he will announce the person after the necessary consultations are done in the NDC.
“In the midst of COVID, what is the use of naming a running mate? When you can’t outdoor the person and all. But let me assure you I have a fair idea who will partner me and for the elections after the necessary consultation with the national executives and council of elders are done we will do. I can assure you that he will make a significant contribution to the development of our nation,” Mr. Mahama responded to a questioner who enquired on the running mate.
The General Secretary of the NDC, Asiedu Nketiah also revealed during a recent interview why Mahama has still not unveiled his running mate.
