Tito Puente, an American professional musician, songwriter and record producer was born in New York City on the 20th day of April 1923. Tito Puente was famously known for songs like Oye como va, Agua lumpia todo, take five, ran kan, Cuban fantasy and many others.
Beginning with his early interest in percussion, Tito Puente went on to study composition, orchestration, and piano at the Juilliard School of Music before playing the drums with Ramon Olivero’s big band at the age of 13. Since he was young, dance has been a significant part of his musical career.
After playing with Johnny Rodriguez, Anselmo Sacassas, and Noro Morales, American singer Tito Puente started his full-time career playing with the Cuban pianist José Curbelo. He played with Machito in 1942 before joining the US Navy to fight in the Second World War.
