Coates, who is a co-signer in Goodall’s music group but first met him in 1997 in Adelaide as a University student, was close friends with the Australian songwriter Goodall.
Before beginning The Audrey, the two closest friends went to Melbourne and began playing as a duo. They jointly received an ARIA Award for the Best Blues and Roots Album after a lot of effort.
