Two individuals were killed and nine harmed subsequent to being struck by a van on Monday in the Canadian town of Amqui, Quebec, commonplace police said.

Police were called around 3 p.m. neighborhood time about reports of an impact between a van and people on foot strolling along a street in Amqui, situated around 650 kilometers (400 miles) north-east of Montreal.

A man in his 70s and one more man in his 60s were killed, St-Pierre said. Two of the casualties were in a difficult condition.

Canadian Top state leader Justin Trudeau said on Twitter that his heart was with individuals of Amqui.

The occurrence comes a month after a transport driver was accused of homicide in the wake of smashing his vehicle into a childcare community in a Montreal suburb, killing two kids.

Canadian Priest of Public Security Marco Mendicino tweeted that he was “stunned and disheartened” by the occasions and considered the occurrence a “terrible demonstration of savagery”.
