Van Conner was the man who formed the band named Explosive Generation in high school. Van created it with his brother Gary Lee Conner and Mark Pickerel who was a bass player for the band. Sooner than later, the popular singer Mark Lanegan in 1985 was introduced to the band, and after he became a member, the band evolved and got the name Screaming Trees.
In the late 1980s, the Screaming Trees band was then relocated from Ellensburg, Washington, and was moved to Seattle to join the city’s burgeoning alternative rock scene. Van Conner remained a member of the band for a total of seven studio albums. Screaming trees disbanded in the year 2000.
