A ‘notorious Bhim Fan who doubles as a social media influencer, Fredie Mawuli, has said that he’s pleading with organizers of Vodafone Ghana music Awards to create a “Jama Artiste of the Year” category.
He noted that musicians such as Shatta Wale, Patapaa, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin and DJ Mic Smith should be nominated in this category.
Jama music is one of the indigenous forms of music which originates from Greater Accra Region, Ghana.
Jama music by nature is noisy as it involves the use of only local musical instruments, clapping of hands and raw voice.
So Fredie is simply implying that the artistes mentioned above do noisy music.
“I think VGMA should create a slot for “Jama artiste of the year” for artistes like Shatta Wale, Patapaa,Lil’ Win and DJ Mic Smith., Fredi wrote on Facebook.
