Vicky White, an on-the-run Alabama prison guard, and convicted murderer Casey White may be going to great lengths to conceal their identities, with authorities suspecting Vicky is pushing Casey around in a wheelchair while dressed as a woman.
According to News Nation, Lauderdale County District Attorney Chris Connolly is working on this theory. Connolly also described White as smart and ‘frugal,’ saying she had $90,000 in the bank when she withdrew after the escape.
They suspect Casey was placed in a wheelchair to distract people from noticing his 6ft9in the frame.
Vicky, 56, is also suspected of disguising herself as an elderly woman wearing a grey wig, according to authorities.
After discovering the pair’s abandoned escape vehicle, police said they were ‘back to square one in their search for Casey and Vicky on Friday.
White, an Alabama prison guard with a clean record, is suspected of assisting long-time criminal Casey White – the two are unrelated – in eluding capture one week ago on her last day of work before retirement.
Her former employee, Tyson Johnson, says he’s not surprised and that ‘no one believes White is capable of this, describing her as smart and calculated.
