Victoria Esson began playing football as early as ten years old. She played for Halswell United, an amateur football team as well as Burnside High School. She continued to play college football at Texas Tech University, where she graduated with a degree in wind, energy, and industrial engineering.
Furthermore, she has been a member of the New Zealand U-17, U-20, and now the senior national team. She participated in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup as a member of the final 23-player squad for New Zealand.
For her club career, she has played for Avaldsnes and SC Sand, where she made 46 and 4 appearances respectively.
