Jordan Addison, a former wide receiver for the Pitt Panthers, wasted no time making his mark as a valuable asset in the Minnesota Vikings’ passing game through his very first touchdown. In just about one quarter of the season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he made a significant impact.

During the early stages of the second quarter, in a matchup that featured his former Pitt teammate Calijah Kancey on the opposing side, Addison showcased his speed and skills. He sprinted past a defensive back, and Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins delivered an impeccable pass, resulting in a 39-yard touchdown.

Addison had been a standout talent during his time with the Panthers, accumulating nearly 1,600 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns, which earned him the prestigious 2021 Biletnikoff Award. Following his successful stint at Pitt, he transferred to USC for the next season. Despite battling an injury during his final collegiate season, Addison managed to catch 59 passes for 875 yards and eight touchdowns, demonstrating his continued prowess as a receiver.

The Vikings took him with the 23rd overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft, making him the third former Panther selected in the first round over the past two years.

In 2020, Addison had an instant influence at Pitt, recording 69 receptions for 724 yards and four touchdowns. In 2021, he led the nation in receiving touchdowns with an impressive 17, making 100 receptions for just shy of 1,600 yards. Due to his outstanding performance, he earned a spot on the inaugural All-American team.
