In 1955, Dale Carnegie passed away in Queens, New York. His parents, James William and Amanda Elizabeth Carnagey, were struggling farmers. When Carnegie was a middle school student, his family moved to Warrensburg, Missouri. The fact that Carnegie had a way with words allowed him to gain respect despite his lack of athletic ability as a child.
