The group was originally known as Polo Club and is from Lawrenceville, Georgia. The group eventually decided to change their name to “Migos” after deciding Polo Club was too generic. The group released their first full-length project, a mixtape titled Juug Season, on August 25, 2011.

Takeoff shot, killed in Houston, Quavo was not shot on Halloween, as the two were visiting friends and associates for the holidays. Rapper Takeoff has lost his life after suffering gunshot wounds from the incident. Quavo was lucky to survive the entire ordeal, as his gunshot wounds weren’t life-threatening.
Houston police have not released the names of the victims but confirmed that Takeoff and fellow Migos member Quavo, whose real name is Quavious Marshall, attended the party.
