Wendy Mesley First Husband: Who Is Peter Mansbridge?

Peter Mansbridge, a retired Canadian news anchor of British descent, was Wendy Mesley’s first husband. From 1988 to 2017, he served as the CBC News lead correspondent and the host of The National, the network’s premier evening newscast.

Mansbridge also served as the anchor of Mansbridge One on One on the CBC News Network.

His journalism work has earned him numerous honours and distinctions, including an honorary doctorate from Mount Allison University, where he served as chancellor until the end of 2017.

On September 5, 2016, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation declared that he would leave his position as chief correspondent and anchor on July 1, 2017, following the coverage of Canada’s 150th-anniversary celebrations.

Following his 1975 divorce from Parm Dhillon, he married Mesley for a second time. He wed Mesley in 1989, and the two of them separated in 1992.
