Arbery Ahmaud was at a fork in the road, his life stretched out ahead of him and his problems mostly behind him. Like his uncles, he had enrolled at South Georgia Technical College to study electrical engineering. But first, he’d take a break, he determined. College might be postponed till the autumn semester.

 

He ran almost every day to help keep his mind fresh. He’d leave his mother’s house and go down the long street toward Fancy Bluff Road. Then there’d be the right turn into the two-lane road bordered with Spanish moss-draped oak trees.

 

Arbery was shot and killed that day by a father and son who claimed police they grabbed firearms and chased him down in a pickup truck because they thought he was responsible for break-ins in their area – a Black guy slain by two white men.

 

What did Ahmaud Arbery do for a living?

Ahmaud was a student who always study hard to become an Electrician just like his uncles but unfortunately death took him. His uncles were the one who took care of him.
