Dragan Tomić was born on 21th June,1936. He was a politician, a member of the
the Socialist Party of Serbia. He has also served as the President of the National Assembly of Serbia. Dragan held the position from 1994 to 2001. After the election of Slobodan Milosevic on the position of President of Serbia and Montenegro Milošević’s resigned from the Serbian Presidency. He later became the acting President of Serbia by position, according to the Constitution of Serbia from 23 July to 29th December 1997. In the second cabinet of the Prime Minister Mirko Marjanovic, Dragan Tomić served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia from 1998 to 2000.
He was preceded by Mirko Marjanovic and succeeded by Milan Milutinovic.
He was born in Priatina. He had his education in Belgrade, and graduated from the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy. He died on 21st June 2022. Dragan died at the age of 86.
