Anthony Robert McMillan was born on March 30, 1950, in Rutherglen, Scotland, UK, which is a suburb of Glasgow. Jean Ross (Howie), who was his mother, taught and played the piano. His father, Ian Baxter McMillan, was a general physician who also served as the head of the police pathology division.
Robbie liked art, music, movies, and cars when he was young. He read his dad’s books on medicine and crime like they were candy.
