The passing of actor Vito Annicchiarico has been announced. At the age of 88, he passed away after serving as the Rome Open City translator for young Marcello Magnani, who is Anna Magnani’s son. On the actor’s official Facebook page, Annichiarico’s nephew broke the news of his absence from the production.

 

In 2016, he was presented with a special award at the Nastri d’Argento, and at the time, he was quoted as saying, “Shooting Rome Open City was for me like moving from rags to riches. On the set, there was never a lack of necessities, I found myself quite well, and I always traveled around everywhere.” However, there was no sense of wellbeing in the area where I resided.
