1. Golden Carrots will heal two hearts, speed a baby’s growth by one minute, and make an untamed horse easier to tame by a moderate amount. It will also cause adult tamed horses to breed.

1. Golden Apples and Enchanted Golden Apples will heal five hearts, speed a baby’s growth by four minutes, and make an untamed horse easier to tame by a large amount. It will also cause adult tamed horses to breed.

1. Hay Bales will heal ten hearts and speed a baby’s growth by three minutes, but it cannot be fed to adult untamed horses and therefore does not make untamed horses easier to tame.

To feed a horse, hold a valid food item and press use on the horse. Feeding invalid food causes the player to mount the horse. Horses can be fed only when feeding would have an effect. For example, if a horse was at full health it could not be fed anything but breeding items while a baby horse can always be fed items which help it grow.
