What does Depth Strider do in Minecraft

Quite simply, the Depth Strider enchantment makes you move faster in water. Its maximum level goes up to 3 and each level of Depth Strider will remove 1/3 of the movement penalty while in water.

It is an enchantment exclusive to boots. You will only be offered Depth Strider in an enchantment table if you place boots on the table.
