Italian mixed martial artist Marvin Vettori was born on September 20, 1993. Italian native Vettori was born in Trento as the middle child of three siblings. Early on, he had a passion for martial arts, and at the age of 13, he started studying kickboxing, which was his first real martial art.

Marvin was sixteen when he first became inspired to begin training after watching mixed martial arts fighters on television, such as Fedor Emelianenko in PRIDE. Marvin is now a Middleweight fighter in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Vettori has been a professional since 2012 and formerly won the Venator FC Welterweight title. As of August 23, 2022, he is rated second among middleweights in the UFC.

Vettori battled in Europe and amassed a 10-2 record there before joining the UFC.
At UFC 275 on June 11, 2022, Vettori was scheduled to face former middleweight champion, Robert Whittaker. Whittaker, however, left his position for an unspecified cause. The two were assigned a new date for their fight at UFC Fight Night 209: September 3, 2022. Vettori lost the fight via unanimous decision.
