The mother of a teen who authorities have identified as Jeffrey Dahmer’s 17th victim says she just wants to “forget about it for a little bit.”
Debbie Vega, a resident of the Tampa Bay area, asserted that her son left her suburban Milwaukee home three years ago after a dispute with his stepfather.
The body of Jamie Doxtator, 14, was found on Friday, and according to Lt. Bob Miller of the West Allis police department, Dahmer, who is currently being held in custody in Milwaukee, remembers seeing a scar on it. However, he was unable to recognize him from the images.
Having killed 17 people since 1978, Dahmer has admitted it. He faces 12 murder charges, and a preliminary hearing is set for this Thursday.

Jamie Doxtator’s birthdate is March 1st, 1973. According to his mother, Debbie Vega, he was “independent, outgoing, and he had a lot of love.” He was a Jeffery Dahmer victim and was interred in the Stockbridge Indian Burial Grounds in Shawano County, Wisconsin.
A 14-year-old Native American male prostitute named Doxtator waited for clients outside gay bars. In exchange for the young man’s assistance, Dahmer promised him to cash in January 1988 to shoot nude pictures.In the basement of his grandmother’s West Allis house, Doxtator was drugged and strangled by Dahmer.
