On May 19, 2009, Wall declared his intention to attend the University of Kentucky. Due to travel advantages Wall received from his AAU coach Brian Clifton, who was at the time a certified agent, he was suspended by the NCAA from Kentucky’s first exhibition game and the opening game of the regular season.
With 16, 11 in the first half, and just one turnover against Hartford on December 29, 2009, Wall established a new Kentucky single-game assist record.
