He had been with Perspectives Charter School in Chicago, Illinois since his sixth grade and represented his school during inter-school basketball competitions and was one of the stellar performers subsequently moved to Kentucky Wildcats where he had the privilege of being coached by one of the well-decorated coaches in the history of the National Basketball Association (NBA), John Calipari under whom he blossomed into the monster we see in Anthony Davis today whenever he steps into the court.
