Boeheim averaged 6.8 points per game while playing off the bench for Syracuse in his varsity debut. As a sophomore who started games, he scored 15.3 points on average. Boeheim recorded a career-high 31 points on March 11, 2021, against Virginia in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals, which Virginia won 72-69. On March 19, he played his subsequent game, winning 78-62 over sixth-seeded San Diego State in the NCAA Tournament’s first round with 30 points.
