David Edward Williams, OBE, was born in England on August 20, 1971. He is best known by his stage name, David Walliams, to the majority of people. He is an actor, comedian, writer, and television character.

Perhaps where he gained the most fame was working with Matt Lucas on the BBC illustrated comedies Little Britain (2003–2007) and Come Fly With Me (2010– 2011).

Walliams played Greville White in the 2007 television drama film Capturing Mary. In the BBC One sitcom Big School from 2013 to 2014, he co-wrote the script and co-starred. He played Tommy Beresford in the 2015 episode of the BBC drama series Partners in Crime. He created, co-wrote, and starred in the Walliams & Friend comic book series as well.

Walliams has been a judge in Britain’s Got Talent, an ITV talent show, since 2012. He also writes children’s books, of which more than 37 million copies have been sold worldwide.
