Zaslav took over as CEO of Discovery Communications, after Judith McHale on November 16, 2006. Zaslav spearheaded a change in the business’s strategy, trying to position itself as a “content company” as opposed to a “cable corporation” by promoting the company’s primary networks (such as its namesake Discovery Channel) as multi-platform brands.
