After a 32-0 record in amateur kickboxing, Adesanya entered the pro ranks in 2010. Adesanya, who competes for King in the Ring and GLORY, has won numerous competitions. His final match as a kickboxer ended in defeat against Alex Pereira, who is now a UFC fighter.

Adesanya began to participate in MMA when he was still a kickboxer. He debuted as a professional in 2012. Adesanya is 5-1 in his boxing career.

Adesanya had an 11-0 record in MMA prior to making his UFC debut in 2018. By defeating Anderson Silva’s idol Rob Wilkinson, Marvin Vettori, Brad Tavares, Derek Brunson, and others there, he launched his professional career. Adesanya defeated Kelvin Gastelum in 2019 to claim the interim middleweight title of the UFC.
