On April 22, 1976, Joshua Thomas McDaniels, an American football coach, was born. Josh, who is currently employed as a coach by the Houston Texans, is also a sibling of Ben McDaniels. Josh and his wife Laura have four children. He is now the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League. (NFL).

 

He began his NFL career in 2001 with the New England Patriots, where he served as the offensive coordinator for 14 seasons that weren’t consecutive.

During McDaniels’ first stint as offensive coordinator, which ran from 2006 to 2008, New England set a record for points scored and became the first team to win all 16 games of the regular season in 2007.

 

During his second stint, which spanned from 2012 to 2021, the Patriots captured three Super Bowl titles: Super Bowl XLIX, Super Bowl LI, and Super Bowl LIII. One of the Patriots players that attended each of the team’s six title victories during the Brady-Belichick period was McDaniels.

Between his tenures with the Patriots and the Denver Broncos, McDaniels served as the head coach of the latter team from 2009 to 2010. He moved out from New England once more in 2022 to accept the head coaching position with the Raiders.
