TikTok is making news once more for a hazardous trend—this time, the Kia challenge. The craze began in early July when a content creator produced a video showing how to start a Kia automobile using a USB cord.
The video has now been connected to a number of vehicle thefts and robberies. Alissa Smart of Indiana was a victim of the challenge on July 16, when her Kia Soul was smashed into and damaged.
She stated to Fox 59: “This fashion trend disgusts me completely. It baffles me that individuals think it’s acceptable to publish illegal activities, let alone engage in them, after witnessing them online.”
