Rhule spent four years at Penn State under Joe Paterno. He was a three-time Penn State Scholar-Athlete who was named Academic All-Big Ten in 1997.

Bryant Rhule’s father, Matt Rhule, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Penn State. He earned a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Buffalo in 2003.
