Alongside Jemaine Clement, he co-wrote, co-directed, and featured in the horror comedy What We Do in the Shadows in 2014.

The 2019 television series with the same name is based on the movie. The show has received a Primetime Emmy nomination for the Outstanding Comedy Series.
