The IndyCar Series, which features the Indianapolis 500 as its centerpiece, is sanctioned by the organization, as are the developmental series Indy Lights, the Indy Pro 2000 Championship, and the United States F2000 National Championship, all of which are part of the Road to Indy, and the Global Mazda MX-5 Cup.

IndyCar is recognized as an FIA member organization through ACCUS.

What is the average age of an Indy driver?

Drivers in the USF2000 series, according to our understanding, can be as young as 14 years old if the series organizers permit them.

The minimum age criteria for Indy Pro 2000 and Indy Lights are 15 and 16 years old, respectively.

Is there a minimum age limit for IndyCar, however? I’m not sure a driver could be any younger than Herta, who made his IndyCar debut at the age of 18 and a half in Sonama 2018.
