Chris Pratt, real name Christopher Michael Pratt, is an American actor who has played everything from comic nitwits to heroic leading men. He was born in Virginia, Minnesota, on June 21, 1979.

Before becoming a movie star, he became well-known as a television performer.

Pratt’s father worked in a number of occupations, including mining and home construction, while his mother was a grocery store employee.

He was raised in Lake Stevens, Washington, when the family relocated there when he was a little child from Minnesota. In high school, Pratt performed in school plays.

Following his graduation in 1997, he participated in acting classes at a community college and occasionally performed in community theatre and dinner theatre.

On the other hand, he quickly dropped out and relocated to Maui, Hawaii, where he worked odd jobs and lived in a tent on the beach.

He met the actress Rae Dawn Chong while working at a restaurant, and she asked him to be in her short comedy-horror movie Cursed Part 3. (2000).

Pratt made the decision to stay in Los Angeles and pursue an acting career.

After playing a few small roles, Pratt was chosen to play a high school sports jock in the well-liked drama series Everwood (2002–2006).

After the conclusion of that show, Pratt had a recurring role in The O.C.’s last season (2006–2007).

Then, from 2009 to 2015, he starred as the inept and frequently ignorant Andy Dwyer in the workplace comedy Parks and Recreation.

The program became a cult favourite and gave Pratt his big break, leading to roles in movies.

He performed the roles of Navy SEAL in Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty (2012), catcher-turned-first baseman Scott Hatteburg in Moneyball (2011), and the coworker of the lead actor (Joaquin Phoenix) in Spike Jonze’s Her (2013).

When he played the irreverent, kind-hearted thief Peter Quill/Star-Lord in the 2014 space western Guardians of the Galaxy, based on a minor Marvel Comics plot line, Pratt was still best recognized for his performance in Parks and Recreation.

Pratt became an unmistakable star because of the huge box office success of the film.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame, he reprised the character (2019).
