On January 9, 2018, Reid tweeted about his decision to forgo his remaining eligibility and participate in the 2018 NFL Draft. At the NFL Scouting Combine, Reid finished all of the positional drills. He excelled at his position in the bulk of the drills, finishing second among safeties in the 40-yard sprint, third in the 3-yard drill and short shuttle, sixth in the broad jump, ninth in the vertical jump, and twelfth in the bench press.
