Anne Neville was born on 11 June 1456 at Warwick Castle to Richard Neville, 16th Earl of Warwick and Anne Beauchamp, 16th Countess of Warwick.

Anne Neville was betrothed to Edward of Westminster, Prince of Wales but he, unfortunately, died in 1471. Anne then got married to Richard Plantagenet, Duke of Gloucester in 1472. After the death of King Edward IV in 1483, Richard Plantagenet became the king of England after his two young princes were found illegitimate.

Richard Plantagenet and Anne Neville were crowned king and queen respectively on 6 July 1483 by Thomas Bourchier, Archbishop of Canterbury. Richard Plantagenet then became King Richard III.

The couple gave birth to Edward of Middleham, who died at an age assumed to be between seven and ten years old.

What Was Anne Neville Motto?
