He transitioned to rallying in 2007 and continued to compete in karting in Europe in 2008. In 2016, Craig had a part-time campaign with the Citroen Total World Rally Team.
Craig Breen won his first special stage and finished third at the Rally Finland, earning an emotional first podium finish.
By placing second at the 2018 Rally Sweden, Craig Breen improved his 2018 performance. It was confirmed in October 2021 that Craig would become the 2022 season’s lead driver for the M-Sport World Rally Team. He participated in all 13 rounds of the competition alongside Gus Greensmith and Adrien Fourmaux.
