Her mother was born in Fornelli, Isernia, and Molise, in southern Italy, and immigrated to the United States in 1912, and Nancy’s father was a Democratic congressman from Maryland at the time of her birth.

 

He was re-elected as Mayor of Baltimore seven years after his initial election. Pelosi’s mother was a political activist who helped unite Democratic women and taught her daughter how to use social media.

 

From 1967 to 1971, D’Alesandro was the mayor of Baltimore. Pelosi has been involved in politics for a long time. She helped her father run for office. She attended the inauguration of John F. Kennedy as president in 1961.
