Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy is an Indian actor, director, and producer, he was born on 31 May 1943. He is also known by his stage name Krishna and is most known for his Telugu-language film work.
Over the course of a five-decade cinematic career, he played a range of parts in more than 350 films. In the media, he is referred to as a “Superstar.” In recognition of his contributions to Indian film, the Indian government awarded him the Padma Bhushan in 2009.
He won the Congress party’s election to the House of Representatives in 1989. He was given the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award – South in 1997, and in 2008, he received an honorary doctorate from Andhra University.
Krishna’s film career started with bit parts in movies like Paruvu Prathishta (1962), Padandi Mundhuku (1962), and Kula Gothralu (1961).
He made his acting debut in the 1965 movie, known as Thene Manasulu and went on to act in movies like Sakshi (1967), which received positive reviews and won the Tashkent Film Festival in 1968.
