Tarot readers frequently cite Pollack’s book 78 Degrees of Wisdom on the subject, and she eventually produced her own Tarot deck, the Shining Woman Tarot, which evolved into the Shining Tribe Tarot. Along with author Neil Gaiman and illustrator Dave McKean, Pollack also contributed to the production of the Vertigo Tarot Deck and authored a book to go with it.
In 2022, Pollack disclosed on Facebook that she had been diagnosed with a different type of lymphoma and would be undergoing chemotherapy after appearing to beat Hodgkin cancer a few years earlier. Zoe Matoff and Patricia Nolan, Pollack’s wife, said that Pollack was in an intensive care unit in August and launched a GoFundMe campaign to gather money for her medical bills.
