In the 1962 Soviet Top League, Mikhail Mustygin scored 17 goals, instantly becoming famous. In addition to winning the bronze medal with Dinamo Minsk in the Soviet Top League of 1963, Mikhail Mustygin scored 19 goals in the Soviet Top League of 1967.
After being ranked among the top-33 for both the 1963 and 1967 year-end lists, Mikhail Mustygin made his professional debut with FC Avangard Kolomna. Mikhail Mustygin’s final season was with Dinamo-2-Minsk in 1977 after spending one year with the squad (1955–1956).
