Silk is known to be a kind of natural Fibre with a protein constitution which is known can be woven into textiles. Silk production, has been a predominant material used for producing and manufacturing various aligned products. It is much interesting and revealing enough to know that, the industry of silk production began in China. It was known to have survived until the third millennium. Aligned with this source of revelation, silk has tended to spread over the land starting from the country China through to India.

After China, during the second century,, India now took over or followed the path of China and began producing and shipping its own raw silk and silk cloth to a place known as Persia. Then after a while, Persia also became a center of silk trade between the East and West. Today Silk has thrived throughout Europe and Africa.

Where Does Silk Come From?

Silk is known to come from the cocoons of domestic silkworms, which are several caterpillars of several moths.
