Where does the Nile river start?
The two principal origins of the Nile River are the White Nile and the Blue Nile. Typically, the White Nile is thought of as the headwater stream. The majority of the water moving downstream originates from the Ethiopian Blue Nile, which makes up 80% of the water and silt in the Nile. The White Nile flows from the Tanzanian lake Victoria.
