Afeni Shakur was an American black political activist and an active member of the Black Panther Party. Afeni Shakur was born as Alice Faye Williams and she was brought forth into the world on January 10, 1947. Afeni Shakur in the year 1969, was attested and imprisoned together with some party members while they were being tried in New York on bombing charges.
Afeni Shakur was pregnant with Tupac at the time. After an eight-month trial, shakur and the other Panther 21 members were ultimately found not guilty, and they were all freed in May 1971. On June 16th of that year, in Harlem, New York, she gave birth to Tupac with her lover Billy Garland though she first thought her first husband, Lumumba Shakur was the biological father of her kid. Shakur also had a daughter called Sekyiwa Shakur.
