In the early 1970s, Marcel Marceau first met Anne Sicco, who would become his third wife. Marceau was approaching 50 when Sicco, who was 19 at the time, first met him. A young admirer of Marceau just so happened to stroll into the changing area where they had their first encounter.
At the age of 19, Anne Sicco met Marcel Marceau for the first time in Cahors. After their marriage in 1975, she was appointed the director of the experimental class at the International School of Mimodrama in Paris in 1978. She has been the artistic director of “Nouvel Espace Appia” since 2010.
It appears that Anne Sicco stopped teaching at Marceau’s mime academy around 1985. She had started her own firm a year later. In 2010, Sicco was appointed artistic director of the Nouvel Espace Appia.
