He has been active in music since 1958 till date. Sir Cliff said he never anticipated the Queen would award him OBE, as he thought it was given to ‘businessmen, politicians and actors’ and not a ‘rock and roll singer.’
He also stated he was stunned to have in eight straight decades, top five albums, asserting he wishes his record is not broken in his lifetime.
He had a solo hit with his Move its song in 1958 and has sold 250 million records since then.
