Former Pittsburg State player Dallis Flowers has won a spot on an NFL roster. Former gorilla Dallis Flowers played a full season for Pittsburg State before joining the Colts as an undrafted free agent in May.

The 6-2, 190-pound Flowers was selected for the second team All-MIAA as a kick returner and the first team as a defensive back last year. Dallis Flowers ended the contest with four interceptions, which led the squad, and 21 tackles.

Dallis Flowers broke the previous Pitt State record held by former PSU All-American John Brown by averaging 33.7 yards on kickoff returns for the Gorillas. Flowers also scored twice on kickoff returns for the team.

He began his career with Pitt State after playing for the Grand View Vikings in Des Moines, Iowa, where he was a two-time NAIA All-American.

Where Is Dallis Flowers Now?

After the Indianapolis Colts announced their final round of cuts prior to the NFL’s deadline for reducing rosters to 53 players on Tuesday, Flowers has been added to the team’s 53-man active roster.

Flowers is expected to play cornerback and kick returner for Indianapolis.
