In Cottage Grove, Minnesota, Chauvin enrolled in Park High School but left before finishing. Later, he received his GED. He earned a certificate in quantity food preparation from Dakota County Technical College and worked as a prep cook at McDonald’s and a buffet restaurant.
Derek Michael Chauvin, a former police officer from the United States, was found guilty of killing George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota (born March 19, 1976). From 2001 to 2020, Chauvin worked for the Minneapolis Police Department.
