It let users to upload sexually explicit and graphic images of people online without getting their permission, sometimes along with their names and addresses. Moore compared himself to Charles Manson and referred to himself as “a professional life ruiner.” Moore repeatedly claimed he was covered by the same regulations that Facebook is under when the website was up and running for 16 months. Additionally, Moore employed a hacker to access the victims’ email accounts and take private images for posting. After obtaining information from the mother of one of the victims, the FBI opened an investigation against Moore in 2012.
