Prior to November 2022, when the Constitutional Court granted Walu’s release on parole, he was denied parole four times while in prison. Due to the assault that occurred while he was detained, his anticipated release date of December 7, 2022, has been delayed by nearly a week. He is currently staying in South Africa but the exact place is unknown.
