John Cena is an American professional wrestler, actor, and television personality born on April 23, 1977, in West Newbury, Massachusetts. He is best known for his time as a professional wrestler for WWE, where he became one of the most popular and successful wrestlers of all time.
Cena grew up in West Newbury and attended Central Catholic High School in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He was a standout athlete in football and wrestling, and after graduation, he attended Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he played football and earned a degree in exercise physiology.
After college, Cena pursued a career in bodybuilding and began training at the Ultimate University gym in California. He soon caught the attention of WWE scouts and was signed to a developmental contract in 2001.
Cena made his WWE debut in June 2002 and he became known for his charismatic personality and signature catchphrases. Cena has also pursued a successful acting career, appearing in films such as “Trainwreck,” “Daddy’s Home,” and “Bumblebee.”
